Day 01 : Flight to India (Delhi)
Arrival in Delhi around Midnight. Delhi, the cosmopolitan city and capital, is the main gateway for travelers. You are greeted by a representative from Vinayak Holidays and moved to your Hotel.
Day 02 : Old – New Delhi
He is at leisure this morning. Sightseeing in Old Delhi in the afternoon. We take a parallel Riksha Ride to the red fort through the old town and the popular Silk Road and Silver Bazaar. Old Delhi’s sightseeing also involves the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid and Old Delhi ‘s great mosque. Today We also visit the famous “Humayun ‘s Tomb” which is the first significant one. Example of Mughal architecture in India and “Kutab Minar” which is 71 meters high and was built in 1199. Before we go to the hotel we have a drive through New Delhi where we see the Gate of India, Government Buildings and Embassies.
Day 03 : Delhi – Sariska (about 180 km)
Today we leave the capital and travel to Sariska Tiger Reserve situated in the northern part of the hills of Aravali. Sariska has an area above 479 sq2 and was proclaimed by the Government of India to be a Tiger Reserve in 1973. We take a Jeepride to see Sambars, Chitals, Nilgais, Chausinghas, Jackals, Wild Boars, Langurs and so forth. If we are lucky enough today we might have an audience with the Tiger which are numerous in this park.
Day 04 : Sariska – Jaipur (about 130 km)
Today we drive to the Pink City, Jaipur, this town owes its name, foundations and careful planning to the great warrior and astronomer, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaipur is Rajasthan ‘s capital and famous for its handicrafts and precious and semi-precious stones. In the afternoon we visit the town palace which is now the royal family ‘s formal residence, Constructed in a mixture of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the town palace museum we visit the Jaipur Mahrajas private collection. We proceed to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory which is the largest of the five remarkable observatories of Jai Singh. The sophisticated instruments teach us the secrets of Indian medieval astronomy.
Day 05 : Jaipur
After breakfast we drive to Amber’s ancient capital, located 11 km north. Outside Jaipur. Amber was for 6 centuries the ancient capital of the Kachhawaha dynasty before moving to newly created Jaipur. We must climb up to an Elephant ‘s Palace Fortress at the end. On the way to Amber we visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), which was built in 1799 AD. Each has its own balcony. The windows permitted cool air to circulate, and the ladies to watch the processions unseen below. In the afternoon we go for a walk through Jaipur ‘s colorful Bazaar and visit a factory to see the famous block printing work done in Jaipur since centuries. We drive through Jaipur’s new city and visit “Laxmi Narayan Mandir” in the evening, The Hindu temple was built in white marble. We may have a chance to witness a prayer ceremony here. Today we’ve dinner with an Indian music and dance show.
Day 06 : Jaipur – Ranthambore (about 200 km)
We leave pinkcity Jaipur today and travel to national park Ranthambore. After a Ranthambore break & refreshment we will explore the park on a jeep. Ranthambore National Park is surrounded by the mountains of Vindhyas and Aravali, and covers an area of 392 sq2. The Tiger remains the Ranthambore National Park ‘s greatest attraction.
Day 07 : Ranthambore – Bharatpur (about 250 km)
We visit the park again in the early morning on jeeps. We leave the Ranthambore National Park after the Jeep Safari and perhaps with the memories of our brush with tiger and proceed to Bharatpur. Thanks to Keoladeo Birds National Park, Bharatpur has its fame. Bharatpur was earlier the Maharaja’s duck shooting resort. Keoladeo National Park is one of the best water bird sanctuaries in the world, with its 375 species. There are many migratory birds from the northern hemisphere in winter including the rare Siberian crane.
Day 08 : Bharatpur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (about 70 km)
We leave Rajasthan today, Drive to Agra, Enroute we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, This beautiful city made of red sand stones was abandoned as suddenly as it was made. It has usually been claimed that this was due to a water supply breakdown. When Fatehpur Sikri has been, proceed to Agra. Visit Agra Fort after a short break in the Hotel. Agra Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. Rest day at leisure.
Day 09 : Agra – Delhi
Early in the morning, visit India’s most magnificent landmark, the Taj Mahal, an eternal landmark of love, with a charm that continues of fulfil. It was built between 1631-52 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, as a tomb and a memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Palace Jewel), who died at the age of 39 and gave birth to her 14th child. We spend plenty of time at Taj Mahal And take home this striking memory. After Taj Mahal ‘s visit we have a look at the famous fine marble inlay work still being done in Agra by Taj Mahal ‘s family descendants of builders and artists. Travel to Delhi by afternoon.
